Our approach to making places to live is to focus on the well being of all residents and the promotion of a cohesive community.
To address the aging population of London we proposed a design for this pockets site in Archway where every home meets the HAPPI standard. This provides inclusive access and generous space standards to allow for changing needs of the elderly.
The layout creates a new south-facing garden shared between the new development and 30 St John's Grove. This space is overlooked by both and provides a green space for enjoyment by all ages. The design maintains privacy between all neighbours whilst orientating as much of the new development towards this sunny external space.
The proposals include highly insulation and sealed fabric, Green roofs with PV and well shaded glazing.
