Our Lady & St John Catholic College
Blackburn
Our Lady and St John Catholic College sits in an elevated location above the town of Blackburn. Much of the existing school was built in the 1950s and was in urgent need of renewal and reconfiguration.
Developed with Balfour Beatty as part of the Blackburn with Darwen BSF programme the project involved the construction of a new teaching and administration building as well as new sports facilities. The scheme provides a much-needed focal point for the school and its 930 pupils.
Arranged around an impressive three storey atrium, the new teaching spaces provide an inspiring environment to complement the transformational aspirations of the school staff and pupils.
