Manor Royal
Crawley
SEGRO commissioned this office and production campus for Thales, the multi-national systems giant, allowing them to consolidate their existing sites in and around Crawley and to replace their existing buildings with a state-of-the-art facility.
We developed the masterplan, consisting of 47,000 sq.m. of accommodation, which comprises three office buildings, a production facility and a multi-storey car-park. The layout seeks to create a more coherent and attractive urban presence along the main roads bounding the site.
The three office buildings share a similar vocabulary of gridded facades although each has subtle variations in configuration. The production building is a long-span structure designed to accommodate a series of flight simulators.
All but one of the buildings have been completed in a phased construction programme.
