Granta Park Phase 2 Masterplan

We were commissioned to develop a masterplan for extending Granta Park into adjacent agricultural land known as Rickett Field. Great care was taken to maximise the positive environmental effects of the proposals and to minimise any negative ones in this sensitive landscape.
The essential characteristics of the masterplan are a re-contoured ground form, structural landscaping, a layout of roads, pathway and parking zones and a set of rules governing the new buildings on site.
Outline consent was successfully achieved for both the masterplan and a Design Guide to be implemented on individual sites. We developed three different patterns of building form and layout and worked closely with the consultants who prepared the visual impact studies.
