Computer Science Building
University of York
The Computer Science building for the University of York is located on a steeply sloping site on the edge of the main university campus.
NHA’s design adopted some of the lessons of commercial development in an efficient and flexible building accommodating research groups and teaching laboratories combined with extensive IT provision.
The south front of the building has a layered facade, with louvres protecting the windows from direct summer sunshine, and a colonnade at ground floor level leading to the double-height entrance.
