Bio-tech Square

Our design for 200,000 sq. ft. of biotechnology laboratories at the successful Milton Park business park in Oxfordshire sets six buildings around a central green space. Car parking is provided in a deck to the rear of the site. The buildings are principally composed of yellow 'stock' brickwork with windows grouped together into strong horizontal bands. Mechanical plant at roof level is integrated with the rest of the form by a unifying white element which returns to ground level at the ends of each building, and protects external fire escape staircases.
