Masterplanning

Our experience of masterplanning encompasses major new frameworks for development within the public realm and the near forensic transformation of small and complex sites to unlock their potential. Within that spectrum, the skills we bring to bear are consistent: an understanding of what makes vibrant and enjoyable public places and how scale, massing and daylight affect the human perception and experience of space.

We always approach masterplans as though we will be responsible for building them out and so we bring a less abstract, more architectural approach to the task which ensures that building typologies and their viability are as rigorously tested as the strategic framework.

A key skill – particularly for masterplans in the public realm involving local communities - is meaningful stakeholder engagement. Our natural way of working through models, sketches and 3D visualisation lends itself to interactions that reveal key issues, generate useful feedback and build enthusiasm and understanding.
