Jayne’s work has included a broad spectrum of projects in the arts, commercial and education sectors. She is skilled at understanding priorities and bringing clarity to projects through the articulation of design possibilities, and enjoys working collaboratively, bringing great dedication and enthusiasm to projects.
Jayne is passionate about design for education, aiming to create buildings that inspire and support the aspirations of the building users. Her experience in this sector has been extensive: in school design and in higher education. She was partner in charge of the multi- award-winning Golden Lane Campus adjacent to Barbican in central London and recently finished working with Canterbury Christ Church University on an exciting new creative arts building adjacent to a World Heritage Site.
Jayne joined NHA in 1988 and became a partner in 2004. Jayne is a member of two design quality review panels for Redbridge and Harlow & Gilston Garden Town. She has been a CABE enabler and was one of the chairs of the CABE Schools Design Review Panel. She has been a visiting teacher at the University of Westminster and was a call down consultant for the British Council. Jayne is now a consultant to the practice.
