Royal Liverpool Philharmonic - First night of the new stage

Nina and James joined the team in celebrating the Season Opening concert on the 17th October for the reconfigured stage at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. The project was a fantastic collaboration and has improved the accessibility, acoustics, layout and flexibility of the stage and was supported by the Arts Council.

The works were carried out over a summer shutdown and involved completely reconfiguring the stage risers and back wall to improve the experience for performers and audience at the hall.

NHA joined the team in 2023 and helped develop and realise Imagine Sound's proposals. Imagine Sound themselves had previously worked closely with the Philharmonic for many years developing, testing and prototyping various layouts and acoustic treatments. This project served to create a more permanent version, with retractable risers and a stage lift creating improved flexibility and accessibility for the stage. The back wall and side wall designs wrap the players in sculpted oak with enhanced qualities for acoustics and projection.
