Open City & Nicholas Hare Architects

This year Nicholas Hare Architects were invited to once again participate in Open City's Architecture in Schools' programme.

We were delighted to team up with Year 5 at Laycock Primary School which is around the corner from our Barnsbury Square studio.

Last week our volunteer architects Amy Corrigan and John Jeffery held a modelmaking workshop for the enthusiastic pupils. The brief was to build a structure fit for the lifecycle of the butterfly and the finished models were great!

This scheme was announced Overall Winner at the Open City's Architecture in Schools' awards ceremony in July 2013.
