Nicholas Hare Architects are delighted to announce that our recently completed Dormers Wells High School in Ealing has achieved an interim BREEAM rating of 'Excellent'.

BREEAM is the world's foremost environmental assessment method and rating system for buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable building design, construction and operation and has become one of the most comprehensive and widely recognised measures of a building's environmental performance.

Dormers Wells High School is a rebuilt enlarged secondary school and sixth form for 1,415 students and was built by Balfour Beatty as part of Wave 5 of the BSF programme. The design was given the top, rarely awarded, "Very Good" status by CABE.

"The overall feel and quality of the building is more like a university, which is proving an inspiration to our students. Our whole community is delighted by the building and its grounds."
