Accelerate into University!

Nicholas Hare Architects have been working in partnership with Open-City since 2011, supporting and participating in the charity's Architecture in schools programmes.

This Autumn, two architects from our practice volunteered for the Accelerate into University! Mentoring Scheme, an access programme for year 11 and 12 state schools students who want to pursue a career in architecture or the built environment. This 18-month scheme will enable these young people to reach their full potential and improve their chances of entering higher education through practical work experience and mentoring.

This pioneering, early intervention education and mentoring programme was launched last year with UCL's Bartlett's School of Architecture and has so far enabled 44 hard to reach young Londoners to reach their full potential, and improve access to higher eduction across the built environment professions.
